Critical to the perpetuation of the business and the capture of opportunities, innovation is an increasingly characteristic and important trait in our corporate culture, cultivated by our teams in the daily work routine. On a transversal and collaborative basis, this culture encourages our professionals to develop new ways of consolidating ENGIE’s strategy. A movement of impact in which all benefit.
An initiative dedicated to incentivizing our employees to transform ideas on paper, originating new products, services or improvements in administrative or operational processes. Restructured in 2019, the central objective is to valorize the innovations, whether simple or complex in all areas. Any employee of ENGIE may take part by sending their ideas to be examined by the areas involved. If approved, the proposal receives resources for development from the Company. And whoever takes part is rewarded, receiving virtual currency – from the point when the idea is enrolled to the measurement of the results obtained from it. In addition, each year the best solutions are highlighted and awarded and recognized by the Leadership.
A practice adopted by ENGIE worldwide is to recognize the innovative spirit of its employees. One of the initiatives reflecting the importance of this recognition is the Innovation Trophies – an annual award with global reach, showcasing innovative solutions for surmounting management, technological, environmental, and social challenges developed by ENGIE’s teams in different countries. In addition to employee engagement, recognition contributes to disseminating and replicating successful ideas with the purpose of harmonious progress
ENGIE participates in the Inova Talents Program, an initiative of the Euvaldo Lodi Institute (IEL) in partnership with the National Scientific and Technological Development Council (CNPq), the aim of which is to increase the number of professionals in activities of innovation and research in industry. Inducted as bursary holders in the Company’s teams, these professional work on projects over a period of 12 to 24 months. During this period they are supervised by a tutor from ENGIE, who orientates their activities.
